Rowe And Moala Added To Northumbria Roster
Tamsin Moala Is London Bound

Georgia Rowe and Tamsin Moala will add an offensive threat to Team Northumbria’s Fast5s roster after both were named in TeAroha Keenan’s London-bound squad.

The free-scoring duo enjoyed breakout Netball Superleague seasons at Sport Central in 2017.

And Rowe heads into September’s mega-bucks O2 Arena event in red hot form following a superb showing at the International Super Club event in New Zealand.

Keenan has already confirmed daughter Tuaine and Northern Ireland international Fi Toner will be dressing for TN at the British Fast5 All Stars event.

And more key signings are expected to be announced later this week.

“Georgia and Tamsin are two young players with bags of potential and it will be great to see them test themselves on such a big stage,” said Keenan.

“We’re starting to build a really exciting roster geared towards playing fast-paced netball against the top teams in the country.”

Rowe bowed out of the International Super Club event in style after leading the Celtic Flames to a fifth-placed finish earlier this month.

The in-form TN shooter hit 29 of her 32 goal attempts in the Flames’ final match on New Zealand soil.

And Rowe finished the inaugural Super Cup with a phenomenal 92% shooting average after sinking 73 of her 79 tournament attempts.

The British Fast 5 All Stars event brings together the best eight NSL franchises in Britain.

And the shortened version of netball promises thrills and spills from the off with 12 minute matches and instant elimination from the group stage for any side that picks up two defeats.

Players will score five points for goals converted from outside the conventional shooting circle - a feature designed to encourage ambitious long-range attempts.

The winners will pick up a cheque for £25,000 with the runners-up guaranteed £20,000 and the losing semi-finalists £12,500 apiece.

Tickets are on sale now with Sport Central fans able to sit in a special TN zone. The event takes place from 5pm-10pm on Saturday September 23 and tickets are available from www.theo2.co.uk
