Team Northumbria have strengthened their Celtic connection ahead of September’s British Fast 5 All Stars competition.
TeAroha Keenan is building a squad capable of coming out all guns blazing with a £25,000 winners’ prize up for grabs.
And the Kiwi playcaller has snapped up former TN favourite Caroline O’Hanlon and Scotland international Claire Brownie.
The centre court stars will add pace and power to a rapidly evolving roster - still to be boosted by two Worldwide All Star picks.
“Both Caroline and Claire enjoyed successful Netball Superleague seasons for Sirens earlier this year and we’re delighted to have them in our Fast 5s squad,” said Keenan.
“They are experienced internationals and built for the demands of Fast 5 netball.
“Of course Caroline has played for TN in the past and is a Northern Ireland team-mate of Fi Toner so we’re well aware of her strengths.
“Claire is a talented top flight player who will be a perfect fit for what we’re trying to build here.
"We are very fortunate that we're able to recruit guest players of this calibre for the Fast 5 event."
Keenan has now revealed six of her 10 Fast 5 picks ad hopes to finalise the final four spots within the next 72 hours.
The British Fast 5 All Stars event brings together the best eight NSL franchises in Britain.
And the shortened version of netball promises thrills and spills from the off with 12 minute matches and instant elimination from the group stage for any side that picks up two defeats.
Players will score five points for goals converted from outside the conventional shooting circle - a feature designed to encourage ambitious long-range attempts.
The winners will pick up a cheque for £25,000 with the runners-up guaranteed £20,000 and the losing semi-finalists £12,500 apiece.
Tickets are on sale now with Sport Central fans able to sit in a special TN zone. The event takes place from 5pm-10pm on Saturday September 23 and tickets are available from www.theo2.co.uk
