The Cricket club welcomes all new players to their club and boast a sociable and inclusive environment whether you are a cricket pro or complete beginner!
The club have a range of memberships available, with experienced players encouraged to join the COMPETE membership (which boasts Indoor training at the exceptional facility of South Northumberland Club). COMPETE members are eligible to compete in the BUCS Indoor Squad. Beginner and intermediate players can join the TRAIN membership who have regular coached net sessions at Coach Lane during the first two semesters.
From April, students can purchase Outdoor Cricket membership, which enables them to participate in BUCS Outdoor fixtures. With the club entering 3x Men's teams and 1x Women's team in to BUCS this year, there are plenty of opportunities to play!
The Cricket Club Committee aim to bring students involved in all types of cricket membership together for a variety of social events organised by the club during the year, making it the perfect opportunity to play the sport you love while having a great time and making new friends.
Students enquiring about joining the club in 2024/25 season can contact the Club Committee via email or instagram. 2024/25 memberships will be available to purchase from September 2024.
Available Cricket memberships in 2024/25:
"COMPETE" Men's Membership - £200
This membership offers coached indoor sessions at South Northumberland Club. The membership includes entry of 1x Men's Indoor Team, as well as 3x Men's Outdoor Teams in to BUCS.
Training at South North takes place on Wednesdays 12:30-14:30
COMPETE memberships will be available to purchase following the squad selection event. Speak to the club at Sports Fair on 25th September for more information or email them (see below).
"TRAIN" Men's Memberships - £100
This membership offers regular coached sessions indoors at Coach Lane Sports Hall.
Regular indoor training on Sundays 12:30-14:30
"COMPETE" Women's Memberships - £100
This membership offers regular coached sessions indoors at Coach Lane Sports Hall. The membership includes entry of 1x Women's Outdoor Team in to BUCS.
Regular indoor training on Sundays 14:30-16:30
"COMPETE" Outdoor Membership - £75 (BUCS M1 M2 M3 & W1)
This membership offers access to play in BUCS Outdoor fixtures from April-June 2025.
"Just PLAY" This programme is aimed at students who are interested in playing the sport without any commitment. The fun and engaging sessions are completely free to book on to, on a weekly basis, as a first come first served, via our app. All Just Play sessions take place at Coach Lane Sports Hall.
