The Cricket club welcomes all new players to their club and boast a sociable and inclusive environment whether you are a cricket pro or complete beginner!

The club have a range of memberships available, with experienced players encouraged to join the COMPETE membership (which boasts Indoor training at the exceptional facility of South Northumberland Club). COMPETE members are eligible to compete in the BUCS Indoor Squad. Beginner and intermediate players can join the TRAIN membership who have regular coached net sessions at Coach Lane during the first two semesters.

From April, students can purchase Outdoor Cricket membership, which enables them to participate in BUCS Outdoor fixtures. With the club entering 3x Men's teams and 1x Women's team in to BUCS this year, there are plenty of opportunities to play!

The Cricket Club Committee aim to bring students involved in all types of cricket membership together for a variety of social events organised by the club during the year, making it the perfect opportunity to play the sport you love while having a great time and making new friends.

Cricket memberships on offer in 2025/26:

COMPETE Cricket Men - £220 per person

This membership includes access to 1x BUCS Men's Indoor Team, and access to compete in one of 3x BUCS Men's Outdoor teams in the Summer.

Regular Indoor Training takes place at South North Cricket Club on Wednesdays, and additional nets are available on Sundays at Coach Lane Sports Hall from 11:00-12:30

TRAIN Cricket Men (Nets) - £100 per person

This membership includes access to indoor net sessions at Coach Lane Sports Hall - Sundays 12:30-14:30

COMPETE Cricket Women - £200 per person

This membership includes access to 1x BUCS Women's Indoor Team, and access to compete in 1x BUCS Women's Outdoor teams in the Summer.

Regular training takes place at Coach Lane Sports Hall on Sundays 12:30-14:30.

COMPETE Cricket M1 M2 M3 W1 (Outdoor Season only) - £85 per person

This membership includes access to compete in one of 3x BUCS Men's Outdoor teams or 1x BUCS Women's Outdoor team in the Summer. Memberships will only be available to purchase from March 2026.

2025/26 memberships will only be available to purchase via an online link shared following the squad selection event during Big Week of Sport (BWOS) which is running from 25th September – 5th October 2025. The time slots for the Cricket Squad Selections during BWOS are as follows:

Sunday 28th September 11:00- 12:30 Coach Lane Sports Hall (Mens Taster Session)

Sunday 28th September 12:30-14:30 Coach Lane Sports Hall (Mens Squad Selection)

Sunday 28th September 14:30-16:30 Coach Lane Sports Hall (Womens Taster Session)

Sunday 5th October 11:00- 12:30 Coach Lane Sports Hall (Mens Squad Selection)

Sunday 5th October 12:30-14:30 Coach Lane Sports Hall (Mens Squad Selection)

Sunday 5th October 14:30-16:30 Coach Lane Sports Hall (Womens Taster Session)

All club memberships must be purchased no later than Monday 6th October.
