Our sessions are led by our Just Play Activators and sports coaches who make sessions fun and engaging making our programme the perfect offer if you are looking to get active at university.

You will need to book on to all Just Play sessions via the Northumbria Sport App!

Just PLAY will start on the week of Monday 7th October and will open for bookings from the week of Monday 23rd September.

Badminton

Badminton is a fast-paced racquet sport where players hit a shuttlecock over a net, aiming to score points by landing it in the opponent's court.

Basketball

Basketball is a high-energy team sport where teams of 5 players aim to score points by shooting a ball through the opponent's hoop while following a set of rules and strategies.

Basketball 3v3

3v3 basketball is a half-court version of basketball where two teams of three players each compete to score points by shooting a ball through the opponent's hoop, emphasizing speed and skill in a more condensed playing area.

Climbing

Climbing is a sport where individuals ascend our artificial wall in Sport Cenral using strength, technique, and specialized equipment.

Dodgeball

Dodgeball is a fast-paced team sport where players aim to eliminate opponents by hitting them with thrown balls while avoiding being hit themselves.

Flag Football

Flag football is a non-contact version of American football where players aim to score points by advancing the ball and pulling flags from the ball carrier instead of tackling.

Futsal

Futsal is a fast-paced indoor football game played on a smaller, hard court with five players per team, emphasizing quick passing and ball control.

Handball

Handball is a high-intensity team sport where players pass and dribble a small ball with their hands, aiming to score goals by throwing the ball into the opponent's net.

Indoor Cricket 

Indoor cricket is a modified version of cricket played in an indoor arena, where teams of players each aim to score runs and dismiss batters within a faster-paced, more condensed format.

Kwik Cricket 

Kwik cricket is a simplified, fast-paced version of cricket designed for players, featuring fewer players per team and modified rules to encourage participation and skill development.

Netball

Netball is a team sport where players pass a ball and aim to score goals by shooting it into a hoop, with specific rules restricting movement and positioning to ensure strategic play.

Pickleball

Pickleball is a paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, where players hit a perforated ball over a net on a small court, aiming to score points by making the ball land in the opponent's side.

Table Tennis

Table tennis is a fast-paced indoor sport where players use small paddles to hit a lightweight ball over a net on a table, aiming to score points by making the ball bounce twice on the opponent's side.

Ultimate 

Ultimate is a team sport where players pass a flying disc to teammates with the goal of catching it in the opponent’s end zone to score points, combining elements of soccer, basketball, and football.

Women's Basketball

Women's Basketball is a women's only high-energy team sport where teams of 5 players aim to score points by shooting a ball through the opponent's hoop while following a set of rules and strategies.

Women's Cricket 

Women's Cricket is a modified version of cricket for women only, played in an indoor arena, where teams of players each aim to score runs and dismiss batters within a faster-paced, more condensed format.

Women's Football

Women's football is a fast-paced, smaller-scale version of traditional football, played by teams of women only within an indoor arena, emphasizing agility, speed, and precise ball control.
