We are partnering with PEBE (Your Personal Best) to bring a sports bra workshop to Northumbria students this November.
Northumbria Sport are partnering with PEBE (Your Personal Best) to deliver a sports bra workshop on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 November, where students will learn how a sports bra can impact how you feel and perform in sport.
The event, which will take place in Corry in Sport Central will provide students with the opportunity to be measured and try on the market leading sports bras worn by professional athletes and women everywhere.
PEBE sports bra designs are focused on athletic performance and the changing female body, with posture, injury prevention, and respiratory efficiency all being considered within their design. The Breast Health Research Group at the University of Portsmouth carried out a biomechanical assessment to determine breast movement reduction provided by sports bras. Key findings from this research highlighted that the PEBE Gravity sports bra has a 81% overall bounce reduction.
Want to come along to find out more and get a sports bra fitting? Students who are in a Northumbria Sport Club will be allocated a timeslot when their workshop and fitting will take place. If you are not part of the Sport Club programme, we will also have some free places available that are FREE to book. You can book these sessions here: https://store.northumbria.ac.uk/short-courses/northumbria-sport/sports-bra-fitting
This workshop forms part of Northumbria University Sport’s pledge to continually invest in more female-specific education, practice and research within the sporting sector.
