Try a sport with Just TRY Week

If you missed Sports Fair, Just TRY Week is your second chance to get involved in a Sports Club at Northumbria. From Monday 11 November you can try out a sport for free. There's a sport for everyone and it’s a perfect way to try something new before committing to joining.

Being part of a Sports Club at Northumbria is a great way to meet new people, boost your confidence, and improve both mental and physical health. It also builds resilience, improves your ability to achieve goals as a team, all while having fun. So why not come along and push yourself out of your comfort zone and try a sport that you love while meeting new people?

When and Where

Monday 11 November - Sunday 17 November

No need to book in advance just show up to a sport session that interests you at the following dates, times and locations:

  • Karate - Monday 11 November (20:00 - 21:30) or Wednesday 13 November (17:00 -19:30)

Both sessions (Lipman Gym)

  • MMA, Group Two - Friday 15 November - 17:30 - 19:30

(Lipman Gym)

  • Squash - Friday 15 November (19:15 - 21:15)

(Northumberland Club)

  • Jitsu - Saturday 16 November (10:00 - 12:00)

(Lipman Gym)

  • Taekwondo - Saturday 16 November (10:00 - 12:00)

(Lipman Gym)

  • Table Tennis - Sunday 17 November (12:00 - 14:00)

(Upper Hall, Sport Central)

  • Ultimate Sunday 17 November (14:30 - 16:00)
