MMA at Northumbria is a fun and rewarding sport with a close community of passionate people. We welcome all abilities to join in our training sessions, whether you’re an experienced fighter or you have never tried MMA before.

Whilst we learn and improve at our weekly sessions, the club also have a vibrant social life where we plan activities, events and spontaneous trips.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is one of the world's fastest growing sports with the recent surge in popularity of the premier MMA promotion the UFC. As the name suggests, the sport incorporates the most effective combat techniques of all the martial arts meaning that participants are effectively optimal combat sports athletes.
