Northumbria Students Land In Lusaka

The second group of Northumbria University students has arrived in Zambia to begin educating local communities in health and wellbeing using the power of sport.

Molly Carter, Jack Preston and Ellen Duke have landed in Lusaka to begin their six-week placement as part of the internationally recognised Wallace Group Volunteer Zambia (VZ) programme.

And they will take time out to join Olympians Adam Peaty and Rebecca Adlington as local children are schooled in football, basketball, netball, volleyball and triathlon.

Northumbria Sport’s Alex Delves has just returned from Zambia after completing his three-week stint as staff member.
