TN took a sixth-minute lead when Andrei Ardelan converted a Gerard Richardson cross.
But the visitors were unable to double their advantage before the break.
The decisive moment in the match came when Aycliffe goalkeeper James Winter was shown a second yellow card for hauling down Scott Gunn.
The striker dusted himself down and converted from the spot leaving the short-handed hosts down and out.
