Team Northumbria will target three home games in eight days to get their season back on track after last night's disappointing 3-1 defeat at struggling Washington.
The Northern League second division's second-bottom club opened the scoring after just two minutes thanks to a Lamin Cham strike.
But TN levelled in the first minute of the second half to establish a platform for victory.
In fact it was the Mechanics who claimed all three points as Vincent Gash bagged a brace to seal a second win for Washington in four days.
It was TN's second defeat on the bounce but home games against Whitley Bay (Saturday), Shildon (Monday) and the return fixture against Washington (December 2) provide ample opportunity to climb the table.
