6 goals and an intense penalty shoot-out featured in the Men's 2 Football match on November 24th on Northumbria’s Coach Lane 3G.
Sheffield led by 2-0 in the first half, but the game quickly changed when Graham turned the ball into the net, followed by Tutt slotting in another goal to equalise the score within 5 minutes.
A more frustrating 2nd half kicked off with Sheffield Hallam scoring their 3rd goal of the game, but Northumbria’s side refused to be beaten. Man of the match Tutt clawed us level as the ball met the net with only 9 minutes to full time.
The game went into penalty shootouts, ending in a 5-4 win with keeper Manning tipping Sheffield’s goal out of the box and Essouayah scoring the decisive penalty.
This week’s result not only ended in a home celebration but also showed the team’s perseverance.
