Are you looking for a fun way to stay active, build healthy habits and meet new people? This is the perfect opportunity for you to enhance both your mental and physical wellbeing while working towards your fitness goals, every day between 25 February and 21 March.
Whether you prefer walking, running, cycling or swimming, committing to one mile a day can be a great step towards a happier healthier lifestyle.

The Daily Mile Challenge is more than just exercise, it's about discipline, consistency and forming new habits which can improve your overall wellbeing.

To keep yourself motivated, join Northumbria Sport Strava to track your progress and see others progress too! What’s more, you’ll be entered into a prize draw for simply taking part and tracking your miles.

3. Completely your mile and you’ll be entered into our prize draws

Join our weekly walks and runs
We’re running weekly organised walks and runs which are a great way to unwind, get fresh air, and enjoy a relaxed pace while completing your mile.
Monday 03 March – Jesmond (1.6 miles)
Monday 10 March – Exhibition Park (1.7 miles)
Monday 17 March – Leazes Park (1.7 miles)
Weekly runs will be held every Thursday
Perfect for beginners or experienced runners looking to train in a group setting. Running at a conversational pace builds endurance and reduces injury risk!
Thursday 27 February – Town Moor (3.2 miles, longer run) / Hancock Museum (1.5 miles, shorter run)
Thursday 06 March – Jesmond (3.3 miles, longer run) / Exhibition Park (1.6 miles, shorter run)
Thursday 13 March – Quayside (3.4 miles, longer run) / Quayside (1.8 miles, shorter run)
Thursday 20 March – Heaton Park & Jesmond Dene (3.3 miles, longer run) / City Stadium (1.7 miles, shorter run)
Both meeting points are 12:15 outside Sport Central, join us in your lunch hour for your free dopamine.
