Team Northumbria picked up their first away win of the season after putting four past Bishop Auckland.
Colin Stromsoy’s side put in their best performance of the campaign across the pitch, earning them a clean sheet as well as maximum points.
“We went into the game with confidence,” said Stromsoy.
“The lads had worked hard midweek preparing for Bishops and I watched them play on Tuesday against Dunston as well so we had a good idea about how they’d approach the game.
“We utterly dominated from the off - it could have easily been seven or eight goals in the end.
“As it turned out, we picked them off at about 60 minutes with the fourth goal and that was essentially the end of the game.”
Ben Dibb-Fuller opened the scoring for TN from the spot, as Andrei Ardelan was brought down in what was a stonewall penalty in the 20th minute.
Ten minutes later the visitors doubled their lead through a well-executed corner leading to a precise finish from Robert Spence.
TN stayed on the offensive to make it 3-0 before half time with a wonderful team goal that culminated in Ardelan playing in Kevin Carr for the tap in.
With only 10 minutes gone in the second half, TN made sure they were taking the maximum points back to Coach Lane after a swift counter attack and a bit of luck lead to a Josh Bynoe goal making it 4-0.
Bynoe’s initial effort hit the post, only to fall back at his feet for the easy tap in.
“I’ve got to give a special mention to Kevin Carr,” Stromsoy added.
“He had a fantastic game, demonstrating that when he’s on his game, he’s as good as anyone.
“All the lads played outstanding - a clean sheet, lots of great chances and some fantastic goals.”
