It was also a great day for the Lacrosse teams, With a brand new team and a defeat last week, our women’s lacrosse team put in the hard work away at York and earned an essential three points with a 5-4 win. The men followed suit and beat Leeds with a huge 15-2 victory.
Tennis saw a sensational fightback as our men’s team came back from being 6-2 down after singles to get a draw against Durham University thirds. But the women’s team lost their first match in three years against a very strong Leeds Met team.
W1 Hockey travelled to Sheffield sensing a chance to redeem themselves following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Newcastle University firsts last week. In a very close and competitive game, the girls fought all the way to the end to win 1-0 and gain a well-deserved three points.
