Northumbria University's Cheerleading Club, Northumbria Northstars, have developed a national reputation after sucessfully competing at cheerleading national championships up and down the country. We pride oursevles on being inclusive and offer a hardworking, dedicated and fun envirionment for all our athletes to enjoy. Whether you come from a cheerleading, dance or gymnastics background, cheerleading is a sport which will allow you to develop skills that you love and learn a competitive routine that you are proud of.
On top of getting the oppertunity to compete up and down the country, training alongside your best friends and learning new skills. Northstars also fundraise throughout the year for charities such as Macmillian, YoungMinds UK, and more. You will also be able to enjoy a variety of social events organised by the club, making it an ideal oppertunity to train. You will compete in a sport that you love, whilst allowing you to bond with your team maates outside of training and make new friends.

Please note that the "Just TRAIN" membership for Cheerleading is split into two seperate groups. One for Social and one for Competition. These are then divided into levels. Please contact the club president if you have any questions surrounding the types of membership.
For those wanting to compete in competitions you should attend a trial session, should you be successful you will be given a BUCS card. You should take this to reception to purchase your Cheerleading membership.
