Northumbria University's Cheerleading Club, Northumbria Northstars, have developed a national reputation after sucessfully competing at cheerleading national championships up and down the country. We pride oursevles on being inclusive and offer a hardworking, dedicated and fun envirionment for all our athletes to enjoy. Whether you come from a cheerleading, dance or gymnastics background, cheerleading is a sport which will allow you to develop skills that you love and learn a competitive routine that you are proud of.

On top of getting the oppertunity to compete up and down the country, training alongside your best friends and learning new skills. Northstars also fundraise throughout the year for charities such as Macmillian, YoungMinds UK, and more. You will also be able to enjoy a variety of social events organised by the club, making it an ideal oppertunity to train. You will compete in a sport that you love, whilst allowing you to bond with your team mates outside of training and make new friends.

The club were shortlisted for awards at the annual Northumbria Sport Awards, with Coach Millie Sisson shortlisted for Coach of the Year and President Georgia Morris shortlisted for Committee Member of the Year.
