Students will have the opportunity to purchase a fitness membership, running from January 1 2024, until 31 May 2024, for the discounted price of £90. The offer includes access to the gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and group exercise classes, as well as discounted rates on facility hire and climbing wall sessions.

Sport Central Gym:
Open from 0700-2200, seven days a week, Sport Central’s gym offers a great space to perform workouts and keep active. The gym is completed with lifting platforms, free weights, state-of-the-art machines and a functional section.
Sport Central Swimming Pool:
Northumbria’s 25 metre swimming pool is available seven days a week between selected times, which can be found on the NU Sport app or online here. Use of the sauna and steam room facilities are included with the fitness membership and can be found right next to the pool, perfect for relaxing and recovery!
Group Exercise Classes:
Northumbria Sport’s group exercise classes on offer include: Les Mills and BodyPump, taking place at venues within Sport Central such as: Corry, Atrium and Studio. Classes are led by our passionate and highly motivating staff, ensuring a great and fulfilling work out is had by all!
Facilities:
A fitness membership offers discounted price on facility hire. This includes outdoor pitches at Coach Lane Sports Ground, as well as our indoor courts at Sport Central. Not only this, but sessions on the climbing wall are reduced from £10 to £5 with a fitness membership.
