Northumbria Sport now offers a climbing wall right here in Sport Central. 

The 12-metre wall welcomes both climbing novices and more experienced climbers. The wall offers 12 different climbing routes, all of which are auto belays which enable you to clip in and climb with ease. It will be staffed by Sport Facility staff to ensure everyone climbs safely.

The facility is available to use for both members and non-members, with those who have a Sport Central Fitness membership able to access the wall at a discounted rate.

Prices

The wall is bookable in 90-minute slots, with prices including a 30-minuite induction followed by a 60-minute climb.

Footwear

We have a selection of climbing shoes to use free of charge or you’re welcome to use your own climbing shoes or regular trainers.

The Climbing Wall is open during the following hours:

During this week, the climbing wall will be free to use - all you need to do is book a free climbing session via the NU Sport App.
