Women's Goalkeepers Support Programme

Do you want to give your female goalkeepers some specific support?
The FA Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers provides learners with an introduction to coaching the game and working with Goalkeepers from Under 7 to Open Age. Learners will gain an insight into the game in England, how it is played and how they can coach goalkeepers at grassroots level.
The FA Women’s High Performance Football Centre at Northumbria University, in partnership with Northumberland FA, Durham FA and North Riding FA, is launching a Goal Keeper Coach Support Programme (GK-CSP) to support coaches’ and potential coaches wishing to develop their specific Goal Keeping Skills and Knowledge. This programme not only allows initial first steps upon the FA Coach Education Pathway but bespoke guidance and support.
PRE-REQUISITES:
- BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE
- HOLD A CURRENT FA EMERGENCY AID/IFAIF
- HAVE ATTENDED THE FA SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN WORKSHOP IN THE LAST 3 YEARS
Structured across the course of the 20/21 season, the GK-CSP will involve a bursary to initially complete The FA Goalkeeping Level 1 Course (once completed) and then a minimum of 8 coach development days and/or a potential weekly Mentee-ship within a bespoke Female Goalkeeping Performance Hub (Programme Confirmation Pending)
BURSARY:
FA Charters standard bursay: £110 per person.
