Kids from across the North East are heading to Sport Central during half term as Northumbria University’s fun-filled multi-sport camps make a welcome return.
The Northumbria Sport Academy camps are all about making friends and feeling good during the school holidays.
And children aged 7-12 keep coming back year after year to develop their skills and make lasting memories in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Team Northumbria NSL Junior Vlogger and camp veteran Katie Rushworth said: “Me and my sister Martha have both loved every minute of the camps.
“There’s a mix of team sports and individual skills sessions and you always make loads of new friends.
“Sport Central is a great place to go every day and the coaches and staff really look after us.”
Camps take place at the £30m Sport Central facility – a jewel in the city centre crown and home to the Newcastle Eagles basketball team, Team Northumbria’s Netball Superleague side and hundreds of elite student athletes.
And there’s a chance to play football, netball, quick cricket, basketball, dodgeball, athletics and many more.
