Resilience Project.

Northumbria Sport are recruiting 6 Student Sport Ambassadors, to deliver resilience sessions to Secondary Schools in the Newcastle area based around how sport can have a positive impact within society, and the experiences Sport enables students to have.

If successful applicants will receive a 8 week training programme delivered by British Olympic Swimmer and Northumbria Alumni-Chris Cook, the training will revolve around 5 key topics:

-Confidence
-Challenge limiting beliefs
-Goal setting
-Determination and resilience
-Well-being and mindfulness

Once students have received the training, they will be tasked with going into secondary schools across the North East to deliver their story. This fantastic opportunity for our Sport students as they get the opportunity to learn from Chris how to present their stories and will have postive impact within the community raising aspirations of school students and shining the light on the Studying and competing at Northumbria University.
