Floodlight Failure Forces Northumbria Postponement
TN's Clash Against Tow Law Will Be Rearranged

Tonight's Northern League Division Two clash between Team Northumbria and Tow Law Town was postponed following floodlight failure at Coach Lane.

Twenty-four minutes had elapsed when the lights went out and the referee was forced to lead the players from the pitch.

The score was 0-0 when the match was halted - a smart stop from TN skipper Steven Mundy keeping the visitors at bay.

Multiple attempts were made to restart several affected lights but the fixture was eventually called off at 8.25pm with fans offered a full refund.

A new date will be confirmed soon.

Northumbria University's head of football Colin Stromsoy said: "I can only apologise to those fans fans who came out to support both sides tonight.

"And I would like to extend a further apology to the players and staff of Tow Law Town."
